Books I’ll Probably Never Read Tag

It’s Monday again! I know I typically do my It’s Monday – What Are You Reading today, but I’m in the middle of assignment hand-ins for uni so I haven’t read anything this past week so doing my regular post would be pretty pointless. So, I have a tag for you instead!

I saw this tag over at Fiction No Chaser and you can check out their post here!

A Hyped Book You Are Not Interested in Reading

51vdoCLo6NLI actually did attempt Strange the Dreamer when it first came out, but I really didn’t get into it. I thought I’d leave it for a while and go back to it, but I really don’t care to.

Series You Won’t be Starting/Finishing

91xyj8ljgglI read Caraval and I did not like it. The idea for it is OK, but I just didn’t like some of the things that happened and it really put me off reading anything else in the series.

A Classic You Aren’t Interested In

685392Nothing by the Brontë sisters interests me. Or Jane Austin for that matter. I’m not going to try when I know I probably won’t like them.

A Genre You Never Read

1473666945I’ve never found horror to be particularly interesting in film or TV so I’ve never had the motivation to try it as a book either.

A Book on Your Shelves You Will Probably Never Actually Read

9781408872918I probably should, since I’ve read the rest. However, the more I think about it, the more I don’t care and I already relatively know what happens so whats the point. It isn’t like it’ll be a quick read anyway it’s like 900 pages.

  1. Totally understand why you weren’t keen on Caraval and won’t be continuing the series. It’s one of my favourites but I absolutely see where you’re coming from on that. I love seeing these types of posts because taste is so subjective. ALSO, I’m with you on Strange the Dreamer. I actually went back and forth for a while on if I wanted to read it but recently I was just like, nope, I’m just not into the idea of it enough to pick it up.

  2. I’m totally with you on Caraval, I liked it when I read it, but I’m just not interested in finishing the series any more. Wuthering Heights is a tricky one, because I feel like I’d enjoy it once I got into it, but I’ve never got past the third chapter because the style makes it pretty long-winded. Thanks for tagging me! I’ll definitely try and do this one soon 🙂
