The A – Z Book Tag

Hey Guys! It’s time for another Tag! This time I’m actually doing a tag that I’ve been tagged in – which makes a change. Thank you to Crystal over at Paper Royalty Blog for the Tag! Make sure you check out her post here!

A: Author You’ve Read the Most Books From

It took me a while to find the answer for this and it’s probably either Sarah J. Maas or Ally Carter since I’ve read long series’ from them as well as a few others. SJM obviously has the Throne of Glass series, which I’ve read all bar one of and ACOTAR trilogy and ACOFAS and I’ve read all of those along with Catwoman Soulstealer. With Ally Carter she has the Gallagher Girls series, Heist Society trilogy and Not If I Save You First which I’ve read. I’m just too lazy to add them all up.

B: Best Sequel Ever

This was difficult because there are a lot of good sequels out there. However, A Court of Mist and Fury was the first one I thought about so I’m sticking with it.

C: Currently Reading

I got accepted by NetGalley for an e-arc a week or so ago and I am so hopeful this one is as surprising as Ash Princess.

D: Drink of Choice While Reading

Tea. Nothing better than a nice cup of tea and a good book.

E: E-Reader or Physical Book

I will read on my kindle if I have to, I just prefer to have physical copies.

F: Fictional Character You Would’ve Dated in High School

So. Many. Book. Boyfriends! I have absolutely no idea and I don’t actually read that many books where the MC is going to school – there’s the odd one but not many,so I’m just picking a book boyfriend! Kell.

G: Glad You Gave This Book A Chance

I really didn’t know what I was getting into with The Darkest Star, but I’m glad I hit a blind request on NetGalley because if I’d thought about it I probably would have never picked this up and then I would have missed the wonder that is Jennifer L. Armentrout.

H: Hidden Gem Book

I don’t see this trilogy being given enough recognition and it makes me sad because it’s amazing!

I: Important Moment in Your Reading Life

Probably when I first picked up Six of Crows. I hadn’t read in well over a year and I’d completely lost my love for it, but then I kept seeing Six of Crows appear so I took a chance and bought it to see what it was. After I’d read it I bought the Shadow and Bone trilogy from Amazon and pre-ordered Crooked Kingdom straight away, created my Goodreads and got right back into it. I haven’t stopped since.

J: Just Finished

Continuing on from The Darkest Star and my discovery of JLA I also discovered the Lux series and I have purged my way through them.

K: Kind of Books You Won’t Read

Straight romance, horror, erotica. I tend to stay away from non-fiction as well.

L: Longest Book You’ve Read

This a guess because there’s no way I’m going through my books trying to figure out which is longest, but I imagine it will be Queen of Air and Darkness.

M: Major Book Hangover Because Of…

I’m still reeling on this. I just can’t stop thinking about it ugh! When’s book two! I need it!

N: Number of Bookcases You Own

I mean I need about three, but I currently only have one. It’s just crammed full with books. A lot of my books don’t even fit on my bookcase anymore.

O: One Book You’ve Read Multiple Times

There are many books I’ve read more than once. I tend to find myself rereading the ACOTAR trilogy without meaning to and I constantly want to reread the Shadow and Bone trilogy, but since I’ve had more time with Potter I’m going with that.

P: Preferred Place to Read

I can read anywhere. I tend to read when I’m sat in bed or curled up in the corner of the sofa with a blanket.

R: Reading Regret

I have a few regrets I think we all do. My most recent being Damsel. Undercover Princess is probably another. Actually finishing Smoke in the Sun is a regret because I really wasn’t enjoying it, but because it was an ARC I felt like I had to finish it. It took so long and put me in the biggest slump.

S: Series You’ve Started and Need to Finish (all books are out)

I’m so torn on whether I actually want to finish this series or not. I want to so it’s finished, but I just don’t know whether I can read 900 pages when I only care about a handful of characters none of which are the main character.

T: Three of Your All-Time Favourite Books

This is so hard! Narrowing it down to three is impossible! I love The Book Thief, haven’t read it in a while actually I may have to revisit that one. Honestly the entirety of the Grishaverse qualifies under this so Six of Crows represents all. Vicious was just amazing honestly but there are so many books I could put here, I’m just proud of how quick I narrowed it down.

U: Unapologetic Fangirl for…

Just the Grishaverse in general really. I’m completely obsessed with everything in it and I don’t care who knows about it.

V: Very Excited for This Release

The more I hear about this book the better it sounds. I’m just hoping I’m not steadily getting my expectations too high.

W: Worst Bookish Habits

Oh I don’t know! I definitely judge a book by its cover. Does that count? I do that quite frequently. I also have a strong habit of buying books knowing I won’t be reading them any time soon.

Y: Your Latest Book Purchase

I can’t actually remember what the last book I bought was – I’m on a ban guys, but I bought my first Book Box Club box a few weeks ago so I can use it for one of my university assignments. Does that count.

Z: ZZZ-Snatcher Book – Last Book That Kept You Up Way Too Late

I didn’t start reading it until evening time, I never expected to get into it as much as I did and I just didn’t put it down really.
