ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS
A Book That Wasn’t or Couldn’t Be Better Than The Movie
I adored this movie. The book however, I couldn’t really get into. I feel like I skimmed it rather than read it. Plus, I think they had different endings, I’m not 100% sure because the book didn’t interest me enough to remember.
THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE
A Rags to Riches or Riches to Rags Story
Nothing instantly popped into my head for this one. I know this trilogy isn’t done yet so may not necessarily end in riches, but Ruby went from having to hide in a poor little town to living in a palace and dating royalty so, so far girl is doing pretty well.
THE APPLE DOES NOT FALL FAR FROM THE TREE
A Parent/Child Relationship That You Love
I read YA, it’s basically no parents allowed, and if there are parents they’re usually dead by the end of it. The Weasley’s however didn’t do bad for themselves and I always adored how much Molly cared for Harry.
YOU CAN’T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER
A Good Book That Needs a Better Cover
I 110% judge a book by its cover. Just so we’re clear. I like this book. I have yet to continue with the rest of the series (I will) but the cover definitely didn’t help when I first picked it up. It just isn’t that great and I think they can do better.
YOU CAN’T PLEASE EVERYONE
A Book You Hate That Everyone Loves
Do you want the list!? These are my mains. I couldn’t decide which, so I put all four. I didn’t necessarily hate The Cruel Prince rather than I hated parts of it with a raging passion. Nevernight, just ugh. Caraval was a slow dislike. I liked it at first, but the more I thought about it the more my opinion changed. Don’t even with Three Dark Crowns OK, I just can’t.
WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER
What’s a Book That Made You a Better Person For Having Read It
Guys, I read fantasy. Do you have any idea how long it took me to think of a book that wasn’t completely fictitious! Seriously though, If you haven’t read this, you 100% need to it is amazing. I don’t know if it made me a better person, it just made me feel less alone.
LOVE IS BLIND
A Book With a Disabled Character or Actual Blind Love
Two words. Kaz. Brekker. Has a limp, walks with a cane. Is one of the most badass and kick-ass characters ever.
IGNORANCE IS BLISS
A Book That Is Bad But You Just Don’t Want to Admit It.
I’m not really someone to beat around the bush. If I think it’s bad, I’ll say it. I will admit to liking The Cursed Child when I first read it and got quite defensive if anyone said it wasn’t great. However, now I’ll admit that it isn’t that great. Should’ve quit while you were ahead J. K.
THERE IS NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT
What is Your Favourite Contemporary Book?
Again, I read fantasy. This is one of maybe four contemporary books I’ve read so it isn’t like I have much to compare.
BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY
A Book You Don’t Want to Read in Case It’s Bad
There’s actually a few. Invictus by Ryan Graudin. Uprooted by Naomi Novak. Warcross by Marie Lu. Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh. I’ve seen and heard really good things and it makes me want to read them, but it also makes me nervous in case I get my hopes too high and they aren’t that great. Makes me glad I read Six of Crows before I got invested into the online book community.
