Blog Awards

The Sunshine Blogger Award

For those who do not know, the Sunshine Blogger Award is given to those who are seen as  inspirational through their positivity and creativity in the blogger community.

I have been lucky and honoured enough to be nominated twice! Firstly by Charli at The Break of Dawns you can see her post here. Then by Sasha at A Little Bookshelf On The Wall and you can see her post here. Thank you both.

The Rules:

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their blog
  2. Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you
  3. Nominate 11 new blogs and ask them 11 questions
  4. List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post

Since I’ve been nominated twice I’ll answer every question from both unless they are similar ones in which case I’ll do them together.

Q: What bought you into the blogger world and made you start blogging?
Well, I’d always thought about blogging but never looked into it seriously. Then my friend Ciaran mentioned that he had one and I asked if he could set one up for me and the rest, they say, is history.

Q: What is your favourite thing about blogging?
I don’t know really, I just know I really enjoy doing it. I’ve always enjoyed writing so it’s probably the feeling of having the freedom to write about things I like or enjoy.

Q: What are you personal goals for 2018
Start Uni in September is my main one. I want to try to get a bit fitter. I walk the dog a lot but I want to do something more. I’d also like to try bettering my mental stability. It fluctuates a lot and it isn’t something I look after I just let it be. So maybe try and get that a bit more stable would be nice.

Q: Where’s your hometown?
Derby – Derbyshire – East Midlands – England.

Q: What’s your favourite food to binge-eat?
I’m not really a binge-eater so, I don’t really have an answer for this.

Q: Favourite childhood programme?
I was a Disney Channel girl so it would be the likes of Hannah Montana or Wizards of Waverly Place. You can’t beat a bit of Scooby-Doo though.

Q: What is your hidden talent?
I don’t have any talents, hidden or otherwise.

Q: What is the most interesting fact you know?
My mind holds lots of random, unwanted information but none are really things to whip out at a party and be like, ‘Hey! Did you know…’

Q: If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?
Somewhere warm with good views. My house is always freezing at the moment and I really like looking at nice scenery.

Q: If you had to strictly be a photographer or a writer which one would you be?
That’s hard! I love both. If I had unlimited money, I’d go photography because I could just travel everywhere and take pictures. Unfortunately, I’m not so lucky so I will go writing because even if I didn’t have a roof over my head I could still do that.

Q: What’s your blogging end-game? What do you want out of your blog?
Hmm. I’ve never really thought about that before.

Q: What’s the one thing you’ve always wanted to blog about but never have?
Mental health. It is something I struggle with, but I’ve never actually talked about it.

Q: Top 3 bloggers
*screams* This is like a nightmare. Er….probably…

Jenn

Bee

Jill

Q: What’s your favourite blog post from another blogger?
You know when there’s a blog post you loved but you can’t, for the life of you remember who wrote it. Yep

Q: If you could only write about one specific category on your blog, what would you pick?
Books. Because that’s my main thing but I do like dabbling in different things.

Q: Coffee or Tea?
Tea!

Q: Could you give up social media for a week?
Probably. If I took all the apps off my phone. And blocked Tumblr on my laptop. Out of sight, out of mind.

Q: What is one thing that you regret?
Currently, nothing is jumping out at me. I’m sure in another 5 years there’ll be a lot. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a regret, but do I wish I had gone to see my Granddad more when he was in hospital. I was only about 8/9 at the time so I just assumed he’d come home eventually and he never did. If I was older when it happened I would have done it differently, but being so young I never realised.

Q: What inspires you the most?
I think just seeing other people achieve things. If they can do it, why can’t I?

Q: What is your best piece of life advice?
Oof. Don’t ask me for advice. Just don’t change yourself for anyone but yourself and if you don’t enjoy it, then it isn’t worth it.

Turns out, not many of the questions my nominators asked matched up. So this is more like 20 questions for me.

Anyway, I had fun! Thanks again to Charli and Sasha for the nominations. As always, if I’ve nominated you and you don’t want to feel free to ignore, otherwise enjoy.
